Purchased at the Duke of Buckingham’s sale conducted by Christies at Stowe in 1848 by Sir Robert Peel or his agent;

Purchased by the owners father at the Yorkshire the property of the Peel family between 1939-1945;

Private collection Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, England; Private collection London, who purchased from the above in the late 1970s.
